I've wanted to have an Ogre Kingdoms army for quite a while. I think I was attracted to this faction because their range of models have so much character and expression. Here is the first group of minis that I painted:

Wild West Gaming
So here's something totally different from most of my gaming collection. I've had a bunch of Wild West miniatures for a while. One of these days I'll get around to actually putting them on the tabletop for some gaming. Here are some pics of the two posses that I have painted:
I love that these models are pretty much the number of miniatures that would be used in a typical game. The only thing I plan to add to these two forces are models mounted on horses. In the long run, I want to build an entire Old West town filled with its own incidentals like businessmen, bartenders, showgirls, old prospectors etc. All stuff that I could also use for games of Malifaux:)
The Outlaws
The Lawmen
The game system I want to try out is called Legends of the Old West by
Warhammer Historicals. Reading through the rules, I think it could be a
lot of fun. It seems like a skirmish level version of Warhammer 40k. I'm glad I got this book, especially since Games Workshop has decided to cancel their historicals line.

Zombie Invasion
Slowly but surely my entire Dust army is going to be fully painted. Here is my recently finished squad of Axis Zombies:

6th Edition Begins!
So far I'm really digging 6th edition 40k. I have 2 games under my belt and they were both a lot of fun. As a casual gamer, I think that the narrative inspired rules are very much in line with my personal tastes. Here are a few pics of my Dakka Jet in it's first game:

Dakka Jet!
I recently finished painting up this Dakka Jet. Just in time for the
start of 6th edition! With some of the anticipated changes in the rule
system, I'm sure that my usual Ork list will need to be altered.
Hopefully this flyer will be a fun addition. 9 twin lined shots per
turn, and 18 on the Waaagh! turn sounds really cool. Anyways, this
model was a lot of fun to paint. Being an ork vehicle, I wanted it to
have a very dirty, weathered feel to it.

Dust Warfare
So my gaming group decided to give Dust Warfare a try. At this point I've been able to play 3 games. I have to say that I think this system is a really cool alternative to our usual system, 40k. Many of the game mechanics are brilliant, especially the tactical use of suppression. The Dust miniature line is absolutely beautiful and surprisingly easy to paint to a good standard. My main complaint is that troop miniatures are made with a rubbery plastic that easily warps. Hopefully, Fantasy Flight will continue to support this line with new miniatures and expansions!
